Dear Home-Office-Work-Family-Friends and my Delhi,
I know we love each other a lot but to synchronize with this love, we always need just one thing – A BREAK! Remember as kids when we used to play and get tired, to rejuvenate we took “TIMES” – exactly my point!
You know that I am into corporate and then have bundles of “my peeps” whom I can’t live without. But the daily chaos, craziness, hectic schedules, those auto & metro commutes to & fro, the pollution of every sort in Delhi bla bla bla, they sometimes irritate me. I get saturated with my happiness.
So, all I need is V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N.
Hence, I save for 2 months and trip to beaches or mountains or riverside camps. They fill me back with so much of vitality.
The lush green Kochi and Munnar in monsoons were beautiful. The evening in Lansdowne, camping riverside under a pack of stars, was mesmerizing. The 5 days in Goa were breathtaking. The 10 days South India trip covering the belt of Rameshwaram, Chennai, Kodaikanal, Mahabaleshwar, Pondicherry were just like “I don’t wanna go back home”. The rafting and trekking in Rishikesh, then rushing to take the bus to view the Kempty Falls in Mussoorie. My 28 days in Jakarta. The off-road drive and stay in the top most point of Tosh.
Ahh! There is so much to explore and such a little time. I even love to eat different specialties of different places (Few recipes I have tried too which came out drooling!)
I feel travel keeps me sorted. Because of which I never loose my positivity.
These breaks help me soothe from the monotony that life brings in and start afresh. Because of which, I don’t get into drama, I do not fall prey to arguments or fights, I stay calm and composed even in the worst crests or troughs of life.
So, I urge to all the men and women, girls and boys, ladies and gentlemen – simply travel! It need not be some lavish one in a 7-star hotel, but a simple getaway is enough to bring back your liveliness, your energies.
It’s not just our phone and TV and WiFi that needs to be recharged!
